You got some fantastic photos there and you even saw UP 3017, even I have never seen that unit! Looks like it was rainy too, that normal for Illinois and Iowa though, you never quite know how the weather will play out!

thanks and no problem, oh yea it rained about every day but it was worth it. what is special about UP 3017 if you dont mind me asking?

I saw UP 3017 on one of your photos and thought that 3028 is what you where noting when I saw the patched ex-C&NW locomotive, I thought that it was 3017 and was patched, I did not notice that it was 3028 and that you where referring to the lead locomotive. Sorry for the confusion. Anyway, nice photos and sorry to hear it rained every day. :(

I agree, the rain adds a whole new dimension to a photo, I really like it's effect on the headlights! I like the photos you took in the rain...looks really neat! :)

thank you i do like sunny days but it does add a new look to everything, just like today i got a picture of the TSBY/GLC in Owosso in a not rainy or foggy day but it looked like everything was wet and it was really Kool.

Your welcome! :) It sounds like you got a great photo of the TSBY/GLC today, would love to see it. Just a quick question, how many unpatched Southern Pacific units did you see while in Omaha and Iowa? Thanks.

in the midwest, outside of Fostoria, and
Elkhart,In....would love to see some
photo's from Galesburg if you ever get
