24 hours at Princeville IL 5-19-07

I stayed in princeville instead of Toluca to see how many more UP trains traverse the line now west of Edelstein, and I was very surprised with the results. BNSF traffic was a lot better than I thought it would be too, since their traffic is down nearly 8% from last year. This was 5-19-07, a saturday night starting at 3:16pm to sunday 2:57pm.

In total that is: 59 BNSF, 8 WB Pigs, 15 EB pigs, 8 WB Stack, 13 EB Stack, 3 WB Auto, 2 EB Auto, 4 WB Freight, 6 EB Freight. 10 UP, 4 WB Auto, 3 WB Stack, 3 EB Stack. I think some of the autos still run the BNSF into Chicago.

That is the most EB's I have ever caught, but the lack of WB's made the total pretty normal. I guess I found out the weekends don't produce too many trains.

Thanks for reading, and Enjoy!

Wow, looks like you had a very busy day down there! Gotta love the BNSF. ;) I would love to get down that way and catch the action for myself. Thank you for the detailed report. :)
